This artwork was inspired by a deeply moving composition by artist Vasudeo Kamat, depicting the quiet and intimate bond between a mother and her child. The tenderness of that moment stirred something profound—an emotion that felt both personal and universal.

Set within the stillness of nature, the scene carries a serene and almost sacred quality, where love is expressed not through words, but through presence and connection. It felt like a story waiting to be reinterpreted through my own artistic expression.

Using oil pastels, I sought to capture the softness, warmth, and emotional purity of this bond. Each layer was carefully built to reflect not just the visual beauty, but the deeper feeling of devotion and quiet strength.
