This artwork draws inspiration from the legendary tale of Krishna and Satyabhama bringing the celestial Parijat tree from Indra’s garden—a story rich with devotion, purpose, and divine strength.

I was particularly drawn to the sense of movement within the narrative—the powerful flight of Garuda, the balance of divine figures, and the energy of a journey filled with meaning. It is a moment that feels both dynamic and deeply spiritual.

Using colour pencils, I explored a contrast of cool blues against warm earthy tones to create depth and movement within the composition. The flowing lines and intricate detailing were influenced by temple carvings, bringing a sculptural quality to the artwork.

The Parijat Journey is a reflection of devotion in motion—a story of determination, divinity, and purpose, captured in a moment that feels both powerful and timeless.
